Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A two-finger, creamy, off-white head leaves nice lacings. The body is golden-colored. Citrusy, malty aroma with a touch of caramel. The flavor is much the same, not entirely clean that is. Citrus-peel finish. Well, not my choice of bitter, but probably better when fresh. 110128

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Amber with a thin white head that laces the glass nicely; resinous hop aroma; big, crisp, hoppy flavour; and a prolonged finish with a touch of grapefruit. A nice hoopy bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 8/06/09. Pale amber with a slight off-white head. Leafy hop aroma with a touch of apricot. Easy drinking to start with, before the big, drying finish mentioned in the earlier ratings. Another decent beer by Three Castles.

Cask at the Woolpack Beer Festival 08, Banbury, Oxon, in the company of Glen, Trev and a good sprinkling of local CAMRA members Pours light mid-gold in colour little hazy and with a nice citric bite. This was a little drying and quite thrusty at times which I suppose was a reminder that at 4.8 it had a bit of oomph for quite an easy drinking bitter. , this gets better as you continue the journey with some nice soft lemonyness, I liked this beer.
