A pale coloured, hoppy session bitter with a good hop aroma and a full flavour for its strength, ending in a bitter-sweet aftertaste.

36th CAMRA Cotswold beer festival (July 2012) in the lovely 15th century Tithe Barn: the setting for my tasting of this beer. Gravity poured pint: golden yellow body with a thin white crown on top. The nose was a pleasant, yet fairly weak mix of floral notes and lightly baked pale malts. The taste was also fairly weak (compared to so many other beers at the festival): a bland, blend of beery ingredients which didn’t really excite or balance out too well. I suspect it is a watered down and slightly tampered with Uley Pigs Ear.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fully gone head. Aroma is mild butterish and slight hoppy citrusy. Sweet malty, butterish and slight fruity. Mild bitterness into the finish.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A hazy pale orange beer with a bubbly thin off white head. The aroma is quite light with notes of malt and hops - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of citrus, leading to a dry bitter end, but the body is thin. A thin but quite refreshing beer.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Gold with thick off white head. Sweetish aroma. Empty in mouth. Bottom of the barrel? Bit of vanilla. Not good.
