Traditional American weiss beer with a touch of real Wisconsin honey
Featuring a touch of real Wisconsin honey, Leinenkugel's® Honey Weiss is a golden-hued traditional American weiss beer inspired by a classic German style. It's traditionally garnished with a lemon wedge for added citrus aroma that perfectly complements the sweet, subtle flavors of the beer.

Putrid smell of piss. Yellow pour with a thin head. The taste of wheat dominates. Plastic aftertaste. I liked their Sunset Wheat, but this was pretty bad.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a large white head. The aroma was light and citrusy. The flavor was tart citrus, dryish malts and had a light honey undertone and a peppery hop presence. The finish had a lightly artificial lemon flavor.

From tap. Poured pale yellow slight hazy and no head, someone had thrown a piece of lemon in it. I cannot get my head around why, I tried to pull it out straight away but the beer tasted of lemon afterwards anyway. No real aroma, slight sweet and corn. Honey? Not in my flavour, almost no flavour but the lemon and a bit of wheat notes, rather watery. Not bad as such, but no way good either.

Pours golden with a thick/foamy white head. You can make out the honey sweetness in the aroma, but it’s not as powerful as I expected. Corn is also present in the aroma. The aroma is closer to a Miller Lite than any wheat beer I’ve ever had. It tastes like it smells, which is dissapointing to say the least. Slightly sweet, but I don’t know if I’d call it honey. And just like the aroma it tastes more like a Miller Lite than a wheat. Nope, not going here again.

Clear typical pale yellow american beer appearance. Taste is good. Nicely lively, but not overly. Finish is a little bitter with no linger.

On tap. Light golden body. Refreshing German style lager, no wheat and no honey (had to confirm with my waitress that I really had been served what I asked for). Quite dry, crispy and bitter aftertaste. OK, but not to interesting. Definitively not my type of beer.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose with a touch of honey. Medium body with pilsener malts and a discreet, underlying bitterness. Rather soft mouthfeel. Extremely subdued bitterness. 050406

Draft. Pours very light gold, almost no head. There isn’t much aroma and there isn’t much taste either. This is a very bland beer with a hint of honey and a hint of bitterness.

Bottle. Sweet wheat malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sour malt flavor - pretty weak. There is the slightest hint of honey in the finish. Bland and unexciting.
