Well balanced, tart yet soft kettle-soured hazy ipa. Tangy acidity provides a perfect companion to the pillowly- softness of oats and juicy american hops.

Fairly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a decent two to three centimetre tall off-white head that fades quickly and leaves just about nothing on top after a minute or so, with a nice subtle haze, making this more of a golden hue at around 25 per cent opaque. Aroma of the funky, bretty, perhaps lactobilly notes with a bigger yeast and bready quality and then some very subtle hops that have a tiny bit of bitterness and a grassy bite with a light dose of flowers and grapefruit without too much else. Light to Medium-bodied; Crisp and strong funky sour-ish oaky and dry flavours show through with a hint of hibiscus and even some lemon zest, but the malts are stronger here and provide some of the funky quality, but giving it a nice balance. Aftertaste shows both a light hoppiness and some funky malts, bringing them both together nicely with a light sweetness [from fruit], but more fruity and smoothness at the end. Overall, a relatively interesting beer that shows some funkiness as I was expecting, but more of a plain Belgian beer added to a bit more bitterness from some higher alpha acid hops. Overall, a decent enough option, especially from funky side of things, but this has a bit too much baggage to be considered a proper sour or wild beer without the hops here. Nice to sample and great to be involved in this throughout, but hopefully they continue to produce even more as the times go on. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 12-August-2020 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington.

12oz can pours a lightly hazy gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has fresh orange, grapefruit too, pretty much just citrus. Flavor is lightly sour but more citrus rind than anything, orange, meyer lemon, a little medicinal. Lightly tart finish.

Orange and lemon. Golden pour with decent head. Light tangy end. A little bitterness that seems off. Rooty. Can.
