Clear gold beer, small white head. Light palate, very light and a tad soft. Light creamy malt - somewhat lagerish with a fairly subtle floral tone that feels a bit artificial. Finishes soft, creamy and with some lactose sweetness. Drinkable but disappointing. Was expecting something more rich.

July 2009: Yet another bottled beer by Badger, Hall and Woodhouse. This one is supposed to be Dandelion flavoured (the name gives it away somewhat). My brown 500ml bottle had plenty of life left in it according to its Best By Date. I poured it into a straight sided UK pint glass. Light orange in colour, well carbonated, with a white head (at first). A slight haze to the body, but not clouldy or murky. Floral aroma, sweet peas and cut grass, no hop or malt nose I could detect. More fizz than flavour, maybe some malt in the taste, but I couldn’t find any Danelion. Sweeter than most UK ales, but not over the top, just a suggestion of ripe honey melons. Not unpleasant, but not a world beater for me, just an average beer. Organic beers are fine, but I am sure it restricts the brewer sometimes and I think the overal result in this beer is to lessen its depth and character.

Bottled (Beers Of Europe). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and floral notes as well as some mild herbal notes. Flavour is bigtime bigtime toffee, butterscotch stuff with some herbal notes. Also rather floral notes.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, herbal, toffee - butter, herbs - grass notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, tonic, fruity herbal bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. A bit organic alike ! [20110121]

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops on a malty background. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and spices - it must be the dandelion that to me make up the spice-note. The finish is bitter.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Clear golden with a slight haze and an off-white head. British hops in the nose, with some honey and phenols also. Medium body sweet fruit and honey with a vague underlying mustiness. Somewhat skewed. No real bitterness. 301110

500ml bottle. Pours golden with no head. Looks like a can of Fosters. Aroma is sweet malt, honey and, I’m guessing, dandelion. Crisp bite on the finish with a floral aftertaste.
