From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear reddish brown with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of raspberry and tart apple. Light ot medium bodied. Light carbonation. Tart finish.

Bottle - Raspberries and toasted malts. Clear dark amber with a bubbly beige head. Raspberry and some malts with a sweet finish. Just raspberry would have been to much, the dark toasted malts gives it a nice depth. Unfortunately this is still not that great.

Bottle: Red-orange-amber with a short, off-white head. Raspberry/caramel scent. Tart raspberry, malty, sweet toffee taste. Almost a lactic slickness to the body.

12 ounce bottle into signature globe glass, best before 2/23/2014. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart raspberry, raspberry skin, caramel, toast, light chocolate, brown bread, herbal, floral, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of raspberry fruit, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of tart raspberry, raspberry skin, caramel, toast, brown bread, light chocolate, herbal, floral, and herbal earthiness. Light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering note of raspberry, caramel, toast, brown bread, light chocolate, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of raspberry fruit, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/fruit balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, lightly creamy, and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice fruited brown ale. Good balance and robustness of raspberry, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle. A- Raspberry, berries, toast. A- Dark red color, dark liquid, white head. T- Raspberry, wheat, raisins, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- A good unique brown ale. The raspberry works well in it.

Bottle I got as an extra in a trade a long time ago from someone I can’t remember. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose and taste of raspberries, caramel, berry juice and grainy malt. Some cocoa. Lighter medium body. Soft carbonation.

Poured from bottle(room temp) a deep gold-brown with a good sized head that showed good lacing.

The smell is all raspberry and that's just fine with me as I want as much infusion of the fruit in this ale as I can get!

The taste is a wonderful mix of raspberry and malt and works so darn well, it's hard to put the glass down. I've enjoyed this brew for many years and will continue to as long as NB wants to brew it. ;^)

Bottle. Earthy raspberry and malt aroma. Clear garnet with a larg pink tinged head with some moderate lacing. Tart raspberry and earthy malt flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation, dry finish.

Refrigerated bottle from JoePeesie, enjoy by February 26, 2012 (oops). Pours translucent red with small off-white head. Little lacing, medium/light body, low carbonation, and old grain aroma. Taste is raspberry and nuts. Apparently this beer does not age gracefully, however the marriage of a brown ale and framboise still doesn’t excite me.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy amber with a small white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is rasberry malt. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet rasberry and tart finish. Easyto drink a good fruit beer from New Belgium.
