Really a nice schwarzy. Dry, crisp roast and a hint of just enough caramel. Dark chocolate and coffee. Dark brown/black pour with massive initial head - mine gushed a bit but then I had it for probably too long in my cellar. Crisp, light bitter end. Very nice for style, among the better Schwarzbiers I've had. Can.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine in Davidson, CO. Thanks G-unit! Pours a deep dark brown color with garnet highlights and a large khaki head with great retention. Good lacing. Dark cocoa and light coffee aroma. As advertised, lots of roasted malt and cocoa flavor and just a hint of coffee bitterness. Super clean and smooth. Medium body. Very good.

$2.49 can from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pop the can and it comes oozing out - not a great start. Pours black with a giant tan head. Aroma is powdered cocoa, greases. Flavor is powdered coca, chocolate candy, light nuttiness. Meh.

Bought at Liquor Shed.

Pours a very dark brown, aboot an inch of tannish foam with nice lacing.

Roasted malt, some smoke, milk chocolate nose.

Taste is kinda roasty, light smoke, milk chocolate with the lactose fairly prominent. Both bitter and sweet, nice balance going on.

Medium bodied with close to medium carbonation.

Excellent flavours going on at 5.5%abv.

Sample at Pint Room Littleton. Dark brown pour with a medium foamy beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, mild coffee and lightly spiced hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
