Location: Bottle at a bar in Austin, 2/20/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly yeast, some spice and bread notes are present too
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear orange-amber color, a small white head, no lace
Flavor: The taste is yeast, spice, and pale malts, lightly sweet and lightly bitter
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is fairly smooth, clean feel, and a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was an alright rye pale ale, but there wasn't much going on to make it interesting.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of cavie. Thanks Travis! Clear, red-orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, rye malty, organic, earthy hoppy nose. Rye, bready, pale malty, light citrus, earthy hoppy flavor. Not bad.

Milder Hefeantrunk, dunkel, leicht getreidig. 8/8/8/7/10/8

12oz bottle from Hopper. Pours a mostly transparent, light orange with a sudsy, white head. Nose of malts, grass, cracker, some orange, dried leaves, some light spice, a little lemon, a little honey. Flavor of lemons, soap, a little metallic, light sweet, crackers, a little bread dough. Medium bodied, bitter finish. Needed more of a late hop addition to help the nose. Almost reminder me of a bitter instead of an IPA.

I’ve gotten this brew several times in trades with TexIndy, RickSawyer, and BeerZack. I think it such a great session beer I keep asking for more. Thanks for the opportunity. Pours a slightly cloudy orange amber with a smallish off hwite head that disappears quickly but leaves a little spotty lace. Smells of caramel, citrus, and a bit of rye spice. Taste is caramel malty with a grapefruit hop bite and some more of that spicy rye malt. Finishes dry with a hint of mineral and hops. Body is a little on the thin side. Mouthfeel smooth, carbonation is crisp. Great brew, the only thing I might change would be to give it a little more body, but I suppose on a 90 degree Texas day this would rock as is.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber. Nose and taste of pale malts, rye, hops and citrus. The rye really is dominant in the nose and taste. Body is a little light.
