Sweetgrass APA is a Pale Ale of distinction! 2009 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal winner in the American Pale Ale category, this crisp and fragrant beer is hopped and dry-hopped with plenty of Amarillos and Cascades. Try it with any bold, flavorful food to complement its citrusy, resinous spiciness.

Pours murky gold into a tulip. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving craters. Citrus and mango aromas. Crisp with mango and passion fruit upfront turning to hot pine and pith in the medium length finish.

12 oz can. pours a slightly hazy yellow-amber color with a big sudsy white heas that has fair retention and ample lacing. The aroma is a bit subdued with spicy herbs and some pine. The flavor is pine, spicy herbs, and some cotton candy. Bitterness is on the mild side(for an APA). The palate was full and the carbonation was soft. Finished short and dry. Overall: Nice--very crushable APA that goes down easy and begs me drink another one.

Optisch hübsch, trübes Geld, tolle Perlung, top Schaum. In der Nase Frucht und Pinien. Im Geschmack cremig, würzig, dezente Frucht, mittig bitter, verhältnismäßig süffig, passt.

Canned 355ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren, thanks! Hazy golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, light herbal nose. Sweetish malty, yeasty, herbal, bit fruity and touch of caramel with bitterish finish.

0.355l can, huge thanks BuckeyeBoy! Hazy golden-amber body, off-white head. Odd aroma, mostly mango, some yeastiness, light. Lean, light, soft, watery, mildly yeasty/washed out mango taste. Glad to have tried it, but it's very much meh.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of biscuit malt, caramel, orange, tangerine, grass and pine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, biscuit, peach, orange peel, lemon grass and light pine with a dry, bitter hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Ok.
