Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Black, lasting dark beige head. Decent yeast and roasty aroma. As an FES really good, true to style. Lovely bitter edge, touch of puckering acidity. I liked it, one of the beers of the festival for me.

3rd August 2010. GBBF
Opaque black beer with a little tan head. Lightly sour dark malt - with some contrasting lactose sweetness. Tangy fruit and unsweet dark chocolate. Not bad!

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight roasted malty with a light malty note. Smooth and chocolate malty flavoured. Slight bitter and malty with a bit of caramel. Bitter and fruity finish. Ends dry.
