500ml bottle picked up at Ship in a Bottle. Poured a nice rosewood coloured body and a slowly diminishing, tan-coloured head. Sparse lacing. Dark fruity aroma added by a little roastiness. Taste of dark fruity hops, oatmeal and roasted malts. Smooth bittersweet tail. Refreshing and fine bodied (hotel room, Liverpool 08.04.2013).

Cask-conditioned at the Cheshire Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol October 2012. Black with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, bitter oranges, dark fruits and a touch of grassy hop. Flavour had more fruit and choclate, some liquorice, porridge oats, leading to a dryish finish. Excellent.
