Our bock is the strongest beer we produce. Still in accordance to the German purity laws – no freezing, distilling or other cheats were used to produce the complex beer. The bock type of beer was traditionally brewed under the lent by the Bavarian monks because of its richness in taste and alcohol.

Krenkerup Doppel Bock is twice as rich and will ensure you to keep warmth in the cold winter months. A beer which should be enjoyed with respect and with time to spare.

It has a distinct malt sweetness with a full body and packs a punch. This Bock type of beer sits in our storage tanks for more than 10 weeks to make sure it has matured fully and has just the right balance. With 8,3 % alcohol and a very high drinkability, it commands a certain respect.

Draught, KØ11. Quite caramelly aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is quite caramelly. Clean for a non-German Doppelbock. A little alcohol in the finish. True to the style.

Bottle. A slow gusher, producing almost no head, just some off-white head. Clear, amber body. Caramel, alcohol, dried fruit notes, maltyness and some cooked vegetables in the aroma. The flavor is pretty much the same, with hints of licorice. Some annoying cooked vegetables, not as evident as in the aroma. A little bitterness too. Full-bodied and warming in the mouth. Bitter and sweet alcoholic finish. Well, far from the best doppelbock I’ve had. 110523

Bottled. A deep red beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, caramel, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, alcohol, and dusty hops, leading to a dry bready finish, where the alcohol tickles the tongue.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel and pumpernickel in the nose. Solid body, loads of pumpernickel and caramel. Very subdued hops but some alcohol heat. A very well crafted example of the style. 130211
