Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London. Pours rich ruby with a thick, off-white cream head. Moderate dry fruits in the aroma. Big sweet flavor with lots of bready malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, bready malt finish, some dough, low bitterness. A bit sweet but OK - it is a dunkler bock, after all.

Bottle. A clear, amber beer with a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Fruit caramel, some roasted notes and a touch of dried fruits in the aroma. A faint alcohol scent too. A bit weak. It’s smooth on the palate, nitrogen-like carbonation, and full-bodied. Sort of sweet, with caramel, some choclate hints and a pleasant warmth. A decent beer, guess it’s a pleasant Christmas beer. At least I wouldn’t mind drinking more of it. 110612
