Cask in The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire on 6th Dec 2015. Deep golden pour with a wispy white top that sadly left the scene very quickly. Really liked the sweet malty and fruity nature of the brew but the look let it down a little.

Hazy copper color, good off-white head. Fruity, but sticky nutty aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Nutty, woody, a bit sweet-honeyish flavor. Honeyish aftertaste. 6.5% ABV was suprise to me. Tasted more like a typical 4.5% bitter.

Cask gravity at The Bell Inn, Ivychurch, Kent. Beer of the festival for me. If you wanted to construct an English Strong Ale, this is what you would hope to come out with. Mid gold colour. Good syrupy malt, but not overly sweet/syrupy, peppery English hops on the finish. Sweetish and rich on aroma. Pretty full on in the mouth, but I loved it.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/04/09. Amber coloured with a slight white head. Sweet, barley sugar aroma with a touch of hay and grassy hops. Surprisingly easy drinking given the ABV, with more sweetness, a touch of grainy malt and a lingering bitter finish. Ok.
