On cask at Stalybridge Buffet Bar October 20, 2013 - Clear amber beer, soft lacing white head. Nose was grassy, a bit floral, but in a washed down sense. The taste was okay, the grassiness overwhelmed it though, nothing overly offensive - just not my cup of tea.

21st April: opening of the refurbished ‘Elephant and Castle’ in Dawley, Shropshire. Hand pulled pint of a golden misty body, on top a thin crown of white bubbles sat throughout the tasting. The smell was of citrusy hops with floral overtones, only a suggestion of malts in the nose. The taste was a pleasant blend of those aforementioned hop flavours and a malt caramel feel. Body depth fine for the alcohol content: an OK beer but no world beater.

Cask@GBBF2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mild floral and resiny notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some wood, mild burnt wood, some earth and herbs as well. Pleasantly bitter finish, but gets a bit ruined by a rather metallicness in the aftertaste.
