Gold colour. Vague aroma, maybe some caramel taste. A little bit of burnt electrical phenols, but also a lot of fruitiness and some minerals late. Plenty of character, but at no point coalescing into anything I actually want.

Spoons Fest! But not a fest beer! Clear gold beer with a residual white head. Fresh hop bitterness but with a touch of sulphur. Lingering bitter hop aftertaste. Tiny bit of sweet orange and minerals. Dry.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 30/3/08. Golden coloured with a decent white head. A drinkable enough session bitter with some sweet malt and citrus hops. Ok.

Cask, Hoylake Lights. Golden with thin white head. Appropriately named as this is very workmanlike, and while solid enough is lacking in any real finesse. Next please, don’t let your work boots muddy the carpet on the way out.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber/copper colour with thick white head. Nose is fruity with citrus and hops. Fruity taste with hints of citrus and apricots. Long, fairly dry, hoppy and bitter finish. Lots of taste for the rather low ABV.

Cask handpull at Westgate, JDW, Canterbury. Can’t tell whether this is diacetyl heavy or its supposed to have som much buttery toffee on it, but given everyone else’s reviews I tend towards the former. Butterscotch and hop on aroma, bit bready too. OK in mouth, bit sour with hop on finish, which is really quite drying. Default score 525213 2.7/5.0. Re-rate cask handpull County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Loved it, I had two pints in half an hour. The hops were superb. The diacetyl wasn’t anywhere present on this. Just lovely hops, tangerine and orange fruit. Good hoppy finish.

[Cask at Carlies Bar, Copenhagen] A slightly hazy orange beer with a thin slightly lazing off-white head. The aroma is slightly hoppy and slightly grassy. The flavor is extremely dry, with absolutely no sweetness and no alcohol, which makes it very thin - like a Danish light pilsener. A boring beer - order only a half.
