Thanks to Tony for bringing by a brew I had never heard of. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured black and oily with a medium sized foamy very dark brown head that faded fairly quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was a pleasant mix of toasty malts, anise and hints of coconut and chocolate. The flavor was sour and tart cherries and berries followed by lactic acid and faint chocolate syrup. Long tart and sour cherry and chocolate finish. Moderately full bodied and silky. Disappointing.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Alen (thanks man), pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma of rum barrels upfront, sweet roasted malts, some oats and chocolate. Flavour is very tart, with rum barrels which likely create the sourness, chocolate, tart red berries, a bit of acidity and alcohol. Palate is soft and medium-bodied, finishing on tart, chocolatey and rummy notes. Not usually being a fan of sour stouts, this one is very enjoyable. Great stuff.

Opaque black beer, short lived tan head. Smooth semi dry palate. Semi dry dark malt, tangy! Some woody notes. A little minerally. Finishes dry, smooth and minerally. What Rum?
