Liter at the Hacker-Pschorr tent in Munich pours a clear gold with a ring of white head. Nose has honey and grain and grist, some yeast, a little floral. Flavor is simple, grist, grain, honey, flowers. Some light dough. Sweet dough. Finishes off dry, not quite medium bodied.

Tap at a beer garden, shortly before Oktoberfest. Clear golden. Rather neutral, bit sour smell. Taste is sweet, not sticky sweet but sweet sweet. Bit sticky, too.

Keg at Understudy, South Bank. Malty yeasty aroma with a bitter edge. Dark amber. Thin creamy white head. Herby caramel sweetness with a malty core and some bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Nice enough. Not too sweet but also not too memorable.

Keg at casc. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The aroma is buttered white bread roll, straw, cereal, cracker, spice and hay. The taste is bitter - sweet, sugary, muffin, white bread, grassy, cracker and cornbread with shor, dryish finish. Medium body and moderate - High, foamy carbonation. A touch sweet if anything. OK lagerbier. Decent for style.
