Een klassiek blond tafelbier, traditioneel gebrouwen met de beste mouten en uitzonderlijke hopvariëteiten. Laag in alcohol maar hoog in smaak. Ideaal bij de lunch en zo veel gezonder dan frisdrank.

The blond counterpart of Strubbe Oud Bier, a typical pale table beer with cream white head and colour of ’old gold’. Sweet pale malts, some honeyish sweetishness and a hint of grassy hops in the finish. Less sweet than usual for the style, counterbalanced with more hops than usual; more like a low-alcohol ’pils’, but in an artisanal way.

Very carbonated at first, colour of old gold, under medium but dense yellow head. Buttery, possibly DMS, oh, and what you call skunked. I fear this bottle has been under the limelights of the shop. Strange grainy, short acidity as from a dash of lemon, and then again skunky, with a slight bitterish, faintly metallic finish. Flavour of old, watered-down cider. Very carbonated, fizzy. Ruined beer, I’m afraid.

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. Bready flavour with a slightly metallic bitterness. Thin, but swelling mouthfeel. Resembles many other low alcohol pilsners.
