Bottled. Yellow colour with a creamy white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is perfume/citrus with some grains, grass and herbs. Flavour is grainy, herbal, some lemongrassy and mild earthy tones. Nice hoppy kick to it.

Berchinger Edel-Pils, Flasche von REWE, Berching. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase milde Hopfenherbe über hellem Malz. - Antrunk zitronig hopfenherb. Etwas breiteres aber wenig süßes helles Malz, zarte Honignote. Milder rezent. Im Abgang satte zitrusfruchtige und harzige Hopfenherbe. - Solides Pilsener süddeutscher Art, aromatisch gehopft. 50cl bottle. Klare hell goldgelbe Farbe. Geruch ist getreidig mild bitter hopfig. Geschmack ist leicht grasig hopfig, getreidig.

Bottle 500ml.Clear light medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, grass, citrus notes. Flavor is moderate to light lgiht heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration, grass, citrus, acrid bitter, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20101015]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear yellow with a dense white head. Perfumy if somewhat dusty hops in the nose. Medium body, malty citrusy nose with a fairly good hop bite in the finish. 151010

Draught at the brewpub. Chalky, dusty aroma. Clear yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts with a good bitterness in combination with grassy flavour hops. Has a little grapefruit too, before it turns slightly malty. Low carbonation, could have done with a little more.

Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Pale golden, small, but very stable lacing head, distinctive sweet-malty and grainy nose, heavily supported by herbal oaky (Tettnang?) hops; light bodied, soft MF, very solid bitter-sweet flavour; lingrering aromatic-hoppy (herbal, flowery) finish with a good dash of sweet malt. A very nice Pils, far better than the typical german monotonous Pilseners..........

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big, slowly lancing blonde foamy head. Light-sweet, soft grainy nose with a rounded herbal and slightly grassy hoppy blend. Bitter flavour with little malty sweetness in the wings, light bodied, crispy, slightly sharp carbonation. Soft malty base, nice herbal hops character; dry and bitter, herbal hoppy finish. Not a perfect Pilsener but surely a pretty drinkable and refreshing one with a nice hop bite.
