Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Slightly hazy reddish color, medium sized quickly diminishing beige head. Can’t describe the aroma properly, it’s weird. Taste lightly malts, sweetness, slightly alcohol, slightly herbs and some fruits. Average to medium body and carbonation. Meh.

Bottle, Juletrolden 2010, courtesy of MiP. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with abundant, airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and fruit with a subtle citrus note. Bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to roasty notes and then sweet touches of caramel malt and fruit. Mildly bitter finish. OK.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Cloudy chocolate brown, small head. Buttery nose. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Quite spritzy with some caramel and herbs. Low bitterness. The butter disturbs.

Hazy chestnut with a small off-white head. Aroma of breadcrust, hazel nuts, dried fruits and yeast. Dusty yeast flavour with some sweet malt and a fruity touch, lots of Troldhede house character...

Bottle called Kolding Christmas Beer 2010 , 5.8%. I suppose it was this I had, Jan? Many Txs. Medium beige/cream head over fully opaque, well-carbonated dark red-brown beer. Spicy and herbal nose, bit earthy, arachide, with roasted notes. Taste again very spicy (cinnamon, orangepeel, clove,...). Sweetish, but nowhere exaggerated, and a more bitterish-roasted finish. Also cigarleaf, lightly smoked. Generally well-balanced. Quite spritzy MF, medium bodied, grist slickness - or spice id., as one nearly feels the pulvery spices. Aftertaste becomes more (too) sweet. Much better balanced than most of these X-mas Glühconcoctions. Nice!

Bottle, 5.7%. 2009 version. Weak fruity aroma. Clear brown colour with a red shine. Small tan head. The flavour has a weak note of hard roasted malts. Fruity aftertaste. A little brown sugar, but not really sweet. Mild spiciness. A bit watery, both mouthfeel and flavour. But well-balanced, at least.
