July 2011: 750 ml corked bottle, as Abbaye de Vaucelles Bière Blonde Artisanale, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. Front label says 7.5% ABV, rear label says 7% ABV. Golden colour, pours rather fizzy, large to moderate white head. Moderate aroma of malts, hints of spices. The flavour is fairly malty with a moderate spiciness, which saves the beer from being really boring - but the hops are too moderate.

Ale fajniutkie piwo. Piana biala jak balwan na sniegu i tak dlugo stoji jak on prze 40 stopniowym mrozie. Metniste w odcieniu moreli piwo. Pachnie superowo morelami suszonymi i swiezymi, gruszkami i mirabelkami.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE 21.09.13 (the year was more or less unreadable), at One Pint Pub, 20130913) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, caramell and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, mildly Belgian style yeast, fruitiness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, malty and bitter. A decent malty bière de garde.

Fast gone head over pale clear-golden beer, very fine pearling. Vanilla extract and caramel, liqueur, as something to add to dessert dough, suggesting excessive sweetness. Sweet-nutty beer, some raw grains; much less sweet as suggested by the nose, and much less alcoholic as well. Feels more spritzy than the visual; slick, medium bodied, and a certain fery, burning feel backthroat. Not very distinctive taste, unsettling nose; clashing instead of balance.

Clear gold beer. Wheaty malt, smooth and a little creamy. The beer near stands for a few minutes to let off some unpleasant and pronounced soapiness! A subtle touch of peach near the finish, otherwise it is all wheaty malt. Odd.
