On tap at the Bruery. Aroma is mostly Black Tuesday with some light peanut butter and hints of banana. Lots of bourbon, chocolate and lighter roast notes. Some alcohol spice and oak. Pours black with some small, thin, forced bubbles but no real head. No lacing and sheets of alcohol. Flavor is rich and chocolate forward with some bourbon notes. Moderate alcohol spice with some light roast. Some light peanut notes with lighter banana that just adds a bit of fruitiness. Moderate bitterness. A bit more banana as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and high alcohol warmth. A bit thin for all the alcohol. Overall, a nice stout and I am happy the banana wasn’t overpowering, but I wish it had a bit more of the adjuncts (I never thought I would ask for more adjuncts in a stout). It’s a bit thin too.
