On tap at the brewery. Aroma is very gin forward with the lemon and lavender accentuating and adding to the gin notes. Light oak notes with more citrus character. Quite herbal and floral. Pours a somewhat hazy, bright yellow gold with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin film that lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic, but fairly soft and not harsh at all. Moderately strong lemon notes with some other citrus character. Medium light lavender with light gin notes. Faint oak. I like that the gin is a bit more subdued than in the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very nice sour from the Rare Barrel. Their acidity is getting much better and is not nearly as string and harsh as in older beers. The gin character works really well with the lavender and lemon. I really like how the gin and lavender is stronger in the aroma while the lemon is stronger in the flavor.
