Poured from a 750ml bottle. I think this is the last of the really old SARA bottles I had sitting around waiting to be rated. Aroma is moderately fruity with berry notes as well as some cherry, prunes and raisins. Moderate chocolate with a balanced roast character. Hints of red wine and oak notes. A bit of soy sauce and caramel. Faint acidity in the aroma. Pours black with a medium large, moderately thick, mocha head that exhibits decent retention as it steadily recedes to the edges where it lingers. Faint lacing and moderate length legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with a balanced acidity. Medium chocolate notes with balanced roast as well as toasted bread and caramel. A light soy sauce and roasted meat character. Moderately strong berry notes with lighter notes of cherry, raisin and prune. A light alcohol spice. Light phenolic notes with berry tannins and a bit of a leafy note. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low to medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent tart and fruity stout, but it’s definitely not a style I enjoy. The aroma and to a lesser extent the flavor has a meaty, soy sauce off note that is a bit off putting.

Hells yes - thanks Brian for the share! Bottle #4 at the tasting. Pours opaque black, small tan head, dissipates quickly with good lacing. Aroma is tart and roasty, woody, lots of unidentified fruitiness. Flavor is medium tart, a touch of funk, roasty and a bit fruity here too. Nice take on a hard style to do well - dark sour. Lightish body was a minor detractor of an otherwise tasty beer.
