On tap at the brewery. Aroma is one dimensional and dominated by chai. Some light vanilla notes. Not much else. Pours a lightly hazy, pale yellow gold with a medium sized, thick white head that doesn’t seem to recede at all. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness, way less sweet than I was expecting. Some light malt notes of cracker and biscuit. Moderately high chai notes, but less strong than the aroma. Light vanilla. Medium low bitterness. An odd beer, but not necessarily in a bad way. Oddly refreshing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very chai forward beer. It’s weird as I was expecting it paired with a dark beer, but it works. Some light vanilla notes and hints of grain. It’s on nitro which explains the head retention and carbonation.
