Si presenta di colore ambrato con riflessi rubino e schiuma fine e compatta. Il profumo è dominato dal luppolo, con note di frutta esotica, pompelmo, mandarino e ananas. In bocca è corposa, amara, ma ben bilanciata dalla dolcezza dei malti chiari e dei malti caramello; si ritrovano i sentori fruttati ed agrumati avvertiti al naso, donati da un elegante mix di luppoli americani. Per palati forti!

Pours dark amber with light haziness; a huge, quite frothy off-white head (even too much) shows good persistence throughout the last sips and some lacing. The aroma is quite subdued (huge head doesn't help), suggesting a quite strong sweet base (caramel, hints of honey), followed by fruity notes (orange and tangerine, in the likes of ripe/jammy) and by a light resinous feel. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, now with good/normal intensity and decent definition. Medium to high sweetness and medium to high bitterness, feels nicely balanced in the mouth, slightest bitter edge in a slightly harsh finish (but really slightly). Medium bodied with average, small bubbled carbonation. Feels nicely lively and drinks super easily; mouthfeel definitely it's best feature. Fine overall.

Il gusto al naso propende per il luppolo. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la continuità olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il manto superiore ha una schiuma importante che rimane a lungo nel bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. La frizzantezza si presenta sotto forma di bollicine medio-fini, spinte da una velocità di ascesa vivace. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è deciso. L'intensità gustativa è normale. La costanza gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali che permangono hanno un finale di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, frutta secca, agrumi, pompelmo e lime.

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, nice toffee and butterscotch. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with toffee notes, floral hops, menthol notes, very pleasant. Bottle at Mondiale 2012 , June 9 2012.

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Very hazy amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Light dry palate. The malt has some body and is slightly sour. A little hop bitterness brings up the rear. Dry finish. Pretty malty and somewhat clunky!

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Dror. Hazy red-amber color. Aroma has light hoppy notes, a bit of malt and cardboard. Sweetish flavor with a bit of malt and honey hints and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Seems old but still before the BBD.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours unclear amber with a off white head and lacings. Dark fruit, caramel and a bit of hops. Some warmth from alcohol. Medium and smooth body.

Bottle 750ml.Unclear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, chocolate malt, nutty, fruity - berries. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licoruce notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100910]
