Cask as Blisland Bulldog at the Blisland Inn, Cornwall. It pours clear rich brown with a medium white head. The nose is rich malty action, brown bread, toffee, dried fruits and malt loaf. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy, leather, caramel, toffee, wood and light varnish and with a firm, dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with an off white head. Both flavour and aroma are fruity with a caramel base. Medium carbonation.

Cask at The Blisland Inn. Pours dark copper with a creamy/foamy beige head. Light caramel aroma. Seems a bit malty, but there’s some balancing bitter.

Bottled (thanks omhper). Deep amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is bready, nutty and has some slight notes of riped fruits. Flavour is caramel malts, some mild toasted notes, toffee and mild spices. Quite sweet, otherwise nice.

Bottled. Clear deep ruby, rich creamy head. Tinny nose with ripe fruit behind. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel, Toffee and overripe apples, slight grassy finish with notes of tin. Definitely with a flavour associated with late autumn harvests, but with some off flavours too.
