California is an extremely clean drinking golden coloured ale with a zesty and fruity aroma. Brewed with gently-kilned malts and an aromatic blend of American hops, this 3.8% beer has exceptional poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a refreshing and dry finish.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2010. A golden/straw coloured pour with a smallish white head. Hoppy/citrus fruit/herbal aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, dry, crisp. Bags of flavour in a low alcohol ale, I really enjoyed this and could drink it all evening.

Cask. Clear yellow with a small white head. Intensely spicy hop aroma - if it wasn’t for the name I would’ve guessed Nelson Sauvin. Light body, fresh and fruity with exotic hop accents. Rather subdued bitterness. 200110

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 09. Pale gold, thin white head. Grapefruit hoppy aroma, not great condition though. And then cardboardy towards end. Bit of hop, but not great.

Cask gravity at Oxford Beer Festival, 15-10-09 Pours gold in colour with white head. The aroma is really quite unusual touch rustic. I certainly get the cats piss that the previous rater mentions. Nice sweet grapefruit in the mouth the bitterness comes through but its kept in check by a nice sweety maltiness. Pleasant beer that was quite popular at this end of the bar. A5 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.4
