California is an extremely clean drinking golden coloured ale with a zesty and fruity aroma. Brewed with gently-kilned malts and an aromatic blend of American hops, this 3.8% beer has exceptional poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a refreshing and dry finish.

Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light, fine carbonation. Hops are bitterish orange and grapefruit. Trace of hop spice and lemon. Light dry finish. Not bad! Pretty hoppy! Long bitter linger.

Cask @ Britons Protection, Manchester. Pours a very pale and cloudy colour but settles into a perfect golden ale with a thick head. It’s citric hop based with a mild grapefruit and lemon character. Fairly smooth in the palate.

Cask by handpump, shared a half pint with Finn at NWAF. Bright naked surface. Clear golden body. Sparse aroma of citrus. Plain fruity hops, including modest hints of lemon and grapefruits, to the taste buds. Smooth bitter ending. OK (Manchester, 24.01.2013).

Cask@GBBF2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bread, floral notes, some fruity and nutty notes with mild honey and some maltyness as well. Flavour is rather much the same in a pleasant balance.
