An aromatic session bitter. It has a pale straw appearance and carries light bitterness and body to the aftertaste. Bitterness comes from a fusion of Fuggles and Goldings hops at the beginning of the boil to balance the pale malt. The aroma comes from a late addition of Cascade hops.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine. Cloudy gold with small white head, little retention. Aroma is floral with a light sour note, some toffee and bread. Taste is somewhat astringent, grainy, floral, toasty finish. Light bodied and flat as a pancake. Poor.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Minimally milky, orange golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral and fruity, hoppy aroma, sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty background, hints of apricot, peach, yellow jelly, potpourri. Taste is slightly bitter, floral and minimally fruity hoppy, weak, pale malty basis, diluted hints of potpourri, marmalade, a weak touch of nectarine, minimally soapy and waxy overtones. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Rather bitter and quite watery, taste is not really blessed with a bunch of flavours - meh!

500ml bottle: BBD 18 Feb 2015. Poured two months too late into a UK pint sleeve at home (14 Apr 2015). hazy golden body with a decent head of white bubbles. Grapefruit esters in the nose and taste with a strange honey feel to both the aroma and flavour: this is a different brew and well worth the effort of finding and trying.
