"Just pure spicy rye goodness" says Vinny when he describes our eighth and latest cask beer, Golden Rye. Coming in at 4.5% this golden ale pairs heritage barley, Golden Promise, with malted rye for a combination of sweet malt and a spicy, peppery quality.
Packed full of American hops, Sultana and Azacca, with even more Azacca in the dry hop for a citrus-tropical combo. A smooth golden beer with lively hop character.
Golden Promise is named after the malt.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 1 June 2025) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, pine needles, resin, grass and slightly soapy aromas. Fruyity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grass, resin, a slightly spicy rye touch and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Google said that Bennetts Bar was busier than usual when I looked up its location... It wasn't wrong. I did manage to get the last bar stool available to sup this mostly hopped ale with a slight bit of rye.
