Half pint, well-kept cask at the brewpub. Deep mahogany coloured body. Naked on the surface. Fair lacing. Smooth dark malty nose. Mid-sweet taste of brown and black malts. Slightly roasted ending. Pretty nice low alcohol porter (Derby 20.02.2015).

Cask-conditioned at the Derbyshire beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/12/10. Near black with a touch of red and decent, off-white head. Sweetish fruity aroma with a touch of lactose and roasty malts, Flavour of milk chocolate and berry fruit with a dryish finish. Good, but as others have noted, lacking in oomph.

Cask at The Brunswick, Derby 17-08-08 Pours dark brown with red highlights turning to light brown at the edges and an off white head . Fairly typically soft and malty but a touch thin and watery at times, its fine but seriously lacks any ooommph.
