Bottled@Petalax Dark brown-ruby color, good steady brownish head. Cardboard, date cake in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Date, spaced cake, cinnamon, "pepperkaka". Decent. Doesn’t feel like 9%.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2011. Has a hazy black colour with a light beige medium head. Aroma of dried fruit and a good dose of roasted malt, along with coffee, oak and dark berries. Nice roast in the flavour as well with more coffee, dried fruit, rye bread and some licorice and barbeque sause. Feels like it has been aged in bourbon barrels. Has a slick and rich mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A nicely balanced ale with a good roasted touch.

A very robust beer with lots of complexity. Starting a bit cold, but probably too far from the 10C recommended, the bitterness stole a lot of attention from the malt and body of this beer, too much, I think. When warming up the whole range of aroma and taste came out. Some stinging mouthfeel that is not CO2 or alcohol --- Beer merged from original tick of Jule Avec on 10 Dec 2012 at 22:40 - Score: 7. Men bra, kompleks, mørk, mektig, kaffe og sjokolade. Gjerne en til.

Black colour with a beige head. Toffee, chocolate aroma with some fruity notes. Full body. Complex and well blended flavour with roasted barley, caramel, fruity, raisins. A fine balanced sweetness.
