We took a portion of our 8th Anniversary Barleywine and aged it for 8 months in freshly emptied gin barrels from Ko’Olau Distillery. After aging, we blended in a small amount of the same batch we pulled from our cellar to balance the barrel characteristics. The end result is a big, bold barrel-forward Barleywine with subtle floral, botanical notes imparted by the gin-soaked oak

Draft: Poured a bark brown with orange edges, head was beige. Aroma is woodsy, fruity, vanilla, malty, light booze tang. Taste is boozy, vanilla, toffee, tangy, woodsy, malt. I prefer this version over the standard hoppy one.
