Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. It pours clear deep gold with white head. The aroma is full with Belgian yeasty spices, some sweetened malts and perfumy flower pedals. The taste is crisp and pretty refreshing with coriander, yeasty spices, Belgian candy sugar, a bit of beat sugar maybe and firm floral perfume counter rose pedals and some spicy hops.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 7/12/10

Aroma: The nose has some floral hops, lemon, and yeast, along with some herbal notes
Appearance: This one pours a crystal clear golden-orange color with a small, lacy, white head
Flavor: Tastes of some citrus, a bit of floral hops, and a good amount of spice/yeast malts
Palate: It is fairly light of body, with average carbonation, a touch thin, and a dryish finish to it
Overall Impression: This isn't too bad actually. The Belgian yeast seems to work pretty well for what they were trying to do here, and I actually found this one to be pretty drinkable despite it being a bit too thin. Overall, a solid enough beer.

**Just submitted a Photo for this one as well, as it was missing one.

12 ounce bottle opened 6/17/10. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized offwhite frothy head. Decent head retention and fair lacing. Aroma of banana, clove, spicy hops and a bit of a soapy note. The taste is bitter, leafy and spicy hops, banana, citrus and a faint bit of spiciness. Thin-medium bodied. I’m not really liking this as its a generic Belgian pale with a hop profile that I’m not digging at all. Decent overall though.

typical harpoon style of brewing that seems like their motto should be, "this is good enough". it seems like they could make some really good beer if they tried, but this is a perfect example of where they fail. good aroma, good flavor, but none of the distinctive characteristics that could knock it over the edge into greatness.

Pours clear amber into a snifter. Off-white micro head recedes to skim surface. Toasted caramel aromas. Crisp with upfront sweet nutty caramel turning sour and astringent in the lasting belgian yeast finish.

Six Pack ($10): Pours a golden orange with a thick and foamy head. Aroma is of fruit, hops, and Belgian yeast, so it smells rather nice. Taste is slightly sweet while maintaining a strong hops presence belying its affinity to the Harpoon IPA. Kind of a tart finish and overall a really smooth and enjoyable beer.
