Reviewed from notes of my time spent in New England.
This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a fairly decent bronzed golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. The lacing was there and somewhat trickling but noticeable enough to see that it was at a nice slow pace.
The smell had a fairly decent mellow sweet maltiness running over some really light Belgian spices.
The taste took those flavors to combine and basically let a fairly nice sweetness overtake the tastebuds.
On the palate, this one sat at/about a light to medium in body as it showed a fairly good sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and slightly sharp but not overbearing.
Overall, I say this was a fairly decent Belgian pale ale, its just nothing over the top.

Picked this up as a single at the local beer store. Low-hopes for this one. Paid $2 and poured into a Duvel Tulip.

A - Looks like a standard pale ale. Dark tan appearance, complete clarity through the glass, 3 finger off-white head with a mix of big and small bubbles.

S - Bread, caramel, sugar, cinnamon and raisins

T - Ugh. There’s the standard belgian bread notes in this with some of the sweet dark fruits but a very spicy / stale taste that’s hard to ignore.

M - Gigantic carbonation but a very weak lingering taste.

O - It’s an okay beer but just disappointing overall. I expected more from Harpoon. Not quite a drain pour but close.

Hazy bronze tinted copper coloured body with a thin tan head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of nice yeast, wheat, candy sugar, coriander seed, a touch of curacao and a bit of nice lighter hops. Medium-bodied; Nice assertive lower alpha acid hops with some coriander seed spiciness and a bit of yeast noticeable. Aftertaste shows a light hoppy note, some fruitiness and a touch of yeast. Overall, an interesting beer that’s on the better side of things, but not a great beer and not one of the better examples of the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 26-September-2011 for US$7.99 for a six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 17-October-2011.

Bottle. Hazy amber body. Off-white head. Strong citrus aroma. Notes of fruit, bubblegum, toasted grain. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Dry, bitter finish with some floral tastes. Taste of orange and caramel initially. OK beer.

Clear orange beer, off-white aery head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: vinous, band-aid, caramel, bit chemical. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: pretty spicy, alcohol, bitter hops, cloves. Aftertaste: spices, cloves, bitter, some fruits. Not exactly the best this brewery has on offer.

Bottled@The Chriso "Rock The Roof Down" pre-gbbf shindig. Slightly hazy orange colour, small off-white creamy head. Aroma is fruity, spicy and slightly malty. Flavour is quite much the same in a rather watery way. Thin palate.

As the description lists it, it does smell like their IPA, with a big hoppy nose. Pours a clean amber colour with foamy off-white head that has average retention and minimal lacing. After breathing a bit, the hop softens and the Belgian yeast spices come out. I wish this one would not be filtered so much and have some sediments in it. It has a nice balance between sweetness (caramel malt, fruits), bitterness (hops) and mild spiciness. Gets much better as it sits there. Notes of apples really come out in the aftertaste. It does have very fine particles floating around which creates a little hazy, but should be dirtier overall.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and fruit, leading to a very bitter finish.
