Bottled. Reddish amber with lace. Fruity, alcoholic nose, with citrus, cherry, and paint thinner. Dry fruits, cherry, gum ball, still alcoholic hot flavor. Interesting, dry, but needs aging.

Light brown color, Sweet, brown sugar, brandy, raisin, but the body is too thin for the ABV. Overall enjoyable, but a bit heavier body would have helped.

2012 vintage in a tulip with a bunch of d00ds. very hazy and dark amber / oragen. Nice hoppiness and bitterness on the nose. Semi-sweet. Big bitterness, lemons, corn and very earthy. Insanely sweet and loaded with hops.

Bottle from Chevy Chase, Washington DC, in Sept ’08, probably vintage 2007, 5 years old
Hazy dark brown color, with medium sized creamy beige head. Nice aroma of caramel with some roasted nuts, light oxidisation. Good body strength; sweet flavor of caramel, malt, some dark chocolate, traces of roasted malts and figs; hints of fruits; it has a good bitterness level and pleasant alcohol warmth.
Very good, mature, not too old.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a creamy beige head. Sweet overripe dark fruit in the nose, quite oxidized. Rich body, sweet roast, loads of chocolate powder, almonds. Quite some late alcohol and bittering hops. Elegant - even after 4 years. 160912

Bottle 416/2009. Cloudy dark red-brown beer. Very small tan head. Soft smooth dry palate. Deep rich malt with unsweet dark toffee. Well blended bitter orange marmalade hops. A slightly salty touch. An in yer face barleywine - nice one! Finishes semi dry. Rich malt and hop bitterness aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a hazed copper hued body with a small tan head. Aromas are quite sweet, caramel, melanoidins, mild esters, alcohol, floral, maple. Flavors are of alcohol, fusel, leathery, burnt caramel, toffee, brown sugar. Mild melanoidins. Very warming, medium and somewhat distracting carbonation. A bit sweet on the finish.
