Brewed to honor the brave souls who kept our brewpub open in the early 90’s while wrecking balls tore down the mall around us. Dry and smooth, with a grassy, citrus aroma and honey malt middle.
Admin Note: Older versions of Demolition had a slightly higher ABV and were called 1800 Demolition Ale.

Pours an off yellow. Some spice/hops notes, kind of sweet, but at the end of the day I just wasn’t sure if it worked.

bottle from ølbutikken, as Goose Island Demolition. clear yellow, smooth white head malty, slightly citrussy aroma, something resembling belgian yeast and belgian yellow fruits. flavor is sugary, malty, belgian yeast, yellow fruits, slight bitterness as if from wild yeast, but not very pronounced. all in all a dry, yellow fruity belgian yeasty brew.

Belgian funk all over the aroma with wheat on the backgound. This is a slightly sour, wild yeast monster. Starts slightly hazy but turns somewhat clear. Head is chunky white with large bubbles that laces nicely. Full mouthfeel follows through with a zesty, bright estery flavor. Biscuit comes through the chewy texture. Pairs perfectly with the Goat Truffle Tremor from Cypress Grove. Enjoyed whilst training over Donner Pass was a nice touch as well.

Two month old bottle. Very good Belgian-style ale. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Demolition certainly looks good. It has a transparent yellow-gold body with a big fluffy white head that leaves a bit of lacing. The aroma is lovely, sort of like a hoppy saison. There’s a lot of Belgian earthiness mixed with fresh barley. Notes of bubblegum, banana bread, grassy hops, ripe apples, light clove, lemons and juicy raisins mix together in a pleasing fashion. The taste starts sweet and mild and finishes with a delicate grassy hop bite and a lingering flavor of bitter earth. The mouthfeel is effervescent and light, and the beer leaves the mouth with a nice slick coating of flavor. Easy to drink and easy to enjoy. My love affair with Goose Island’s Belgian lineup continues.
