This version of the beer is exclusively brewed in the UK for the J D Wetherspoon Real Ale Festival.

Brewed with Pale ale, Amber, Crystal, Dark Crystal and Rye ale malts and Centennial, Eldorado and Amarillo hops which give the beer citrus, orange blossom and watermelon notes. To add a little touch of Brazil, we added some Brazilian pink peppercorns to the brew to add a slight peppery juniper-berry note.

Cask at the Granite City, ABZ and I really mean ABZ this time, 22/06/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering that retains. Nose is light citric peel, herbal wash, bread dough, grassy, light nutty aroma, spice. Taste comprises bready pangs, spice, light citric rinse, darker fruits, biscuit malt notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, bitter notes in the close. Mediocre affair - where’s the hop presence?

Cask at The William Jolle (W’Spoons), Northwood Hills. An amber/brown coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, malty aroma. Tastes very fruity, slightly hoppy, slightly sweet, rather unbalanced but just about OK.

Cask at the Vicky Spoons - London. Pours lighty hazy gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds grainy bread, leaves and ripe orange. Light-medium sweet flavor with dirty grass bitterness, slight leaves, plastic, orange rind and grain husks. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter finish with more husky, grainy sweetness, some dried berries, bread, more orange rind. Pretty average.
