This version of the beer is exclusively brewed in the UK for the J D Wetherspoon Real Ale Festival.

Brewed with Pale ale, Amber, Crystal, Dark Crystal and Rye ale malts and Centennial, Eldorado and Amarillo hops which give the beer citrus, orange blossom and watermelon notes. To add a little touch of Brazil, we added some Brazilian pink peppercorns to the brew to add a slight peppery juniper-berry note.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Light amber with a large cream head and a light fizz. Pine cones up front and a bitterness that remains prominent throughout. A little bit of custard cream biscuit, oddly. Grapefruit eventually spirals through followed by spicy notes. More grapefruit and some orange follows in the aftertaste. Not the best collab from the usually reliable Adnams. The bitterness is a little high to let the flavours shine through. Nevertheless it’s solid enough and pretty drinkable.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Copper with a tight cream head; rich spicy malt aroma; crisp malty taste; and an assertive bitterness leading to a clean finish. Pale Ale - I don’t think so - but rather good anyway - certainly an improvement on most World Cup themed beers.

5.0% Cask at The County Hotel Ashford. Clear deep amber colour lasting white head. Fruity malty aroma. Peach fruit. Ok condition. A bit like a brown ale in the mouth as in dry and malty. Moderate metallic hop flavour on the end. Ok.
