Tasting at Papsø’s, 8% ABV
Black color, with generous brownish head. Strong aroma of cardboard, cream, some sourness. Thinner mouthfeel, with sour roasted malt flavor; light chocolate, medium-low bitterness; maybe something else as well, but frankly undrinkable. Must be spoiled.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours an opaque pitch black with a dense light brown head. Hard roast aroma with a tart edge. Medium body, the woody tartness dominates atop the heavy roast. I don’t really pick up the dry hopping. Ends tart and somewhat oxidized. 180911

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Black, lasting tan head. Bit of staleness I guess this was left over from when Kook was last over, so not exactly fresh.

31st July 2010. ChrisO’s ’Raise The Roof’ tasting.
Opaque black beer with a good tan head. Light palate - very soft and airy. Tangy and very lightly smoky. A little sour fruit underneath. Nice.

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is wood, liquorice, mild roasted notes as well as some toffee. Flavour is similar in a nice balance and also has some quite strong spirity notes. Wellbalanced and quite brutal.

Bottled. A black beer with a thick brown head. The aroma has notes of cedar wood, roasted malt, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, that leaves a slight burn in the throat, combined with notes of sweet and roasted malt, as well as cedar wood.
