Bottle from the brewer, thanks! Looks gorgeous with its ink black body and creamy tanned head. Aroma is roasted malt, strong salted liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, with a touch of dark fruits. Flavour is sweet and a bit salty with a moderate to medium roasty bitter finish. Body is full. Nice Imperial Stout, but quite heavy on the liquorice.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Opaque black colored brew with an dry bitter taste and some burning in the mouth. Hints of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some faintly salty liquorice. Best beer idea from Almere, period.

Fles 33cl thuis. Vanilletonen, wat roasted malts, bitters, redelijk zacht, licht boozy. Redelijke balans. Lekker. (20-3-2020).

Very high on the carbonation. Once you get past that somewhat, a pretty decent RIS arrives. Lots of roast, nice amount of coffee. Salt and vanilla shines through, is used subtly, and works really well. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice bitterness. Pity about the CO2

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before March 2019, cellared for more than a year. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, stable, brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, licorice and coffee. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee and some hazelnut, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy-dry and quite boozy finish. Medium to full body, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, maybe a bit too intense and boozy and therefore slightly unbalanced.

Gedronken tijdens Bierfestival in Den Bosch. Donkerbruin bier met stevige schuimkraag. Aroma van fruit en sterke koffie. Bier heeft een smaak van koffie en is stroperig in de mond. Nasmaak is bitter-zoet.

Geprobeerd met Inoven bij het Nederlands Speciaalbier festival. Het is een zwart bruin bier met een bruinig schuim de geur is gebrand en koffie achtig. De smaak is vol gebrand, chocolade en wat rook.
