Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6

Handpull cask at the Golden Cross, Coventry. Dark purplish brown, slightly translucent with a spotty beige head. Ovaltine notes with a bit of cooking herbs in the aroma. Bittersweet taste with a vegetal touch at the beginning of the sip. A grainy bittersweet note to the finish. Not all that impressive but certainly drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 23/3/2019. Dark brown in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. milk chocolate, toasty malts, a touch of dark berry and gentle finish. Good.

Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is roast and liquorice. Taste has light roast to start, chocolate and liquorice finish with a plum aftertaste.
