Marsalkka IV on kullankeltainen ja tasapainoinen, ryhdikkäästi humaloitu lager-olut. Kantavierre 13%, alkoholipitoisuus 5,2 t-%, humalakatkero 28 EBU. Tämä olut olisi epäilemättä maistunut ylipäällikölle ja hänen esikunnalleen sodan ja sotatoimien johtamisen ja suunnittelun lomassa niin Mikkelin Päämajassa kuin hotelli Kalevassakin…

Bottled. Clear, golden body and a small, white head. The nose is balanced, but weak, and I would like some more flavor as well, even though there’s some fruityness to accomplish the malt and hops. Medium body and a decent hoppyness in the finish. Quaffable, that’s it. (070302)

An orange beer with a slight haze under a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet caramelic and with light notes of the alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and caramel as well as light notes of fruit and dust.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, fully golden with a small, rough, white head. Unclean aroma of malt and brewing cereal. Medium body - again with these unclean, malty accents, some caramel and a rather bitter finish. Neither refreshing, nor pleasant. 280906

Bottle - Bruxellensis Festival. Gold with thin white head. Dullish premium lager. Bit of stale malt. Just not a huge flavour on this.

330ml bottle from Alko in Finland. BB 07/06. Golden. Medium carbonation. Standard type of lager but slightly more tangy than usual. Refreshing but unexciting (03.03.2006).

Bottled. Deep golden, minimal head. Aroma of plums and grassy hops. Medium bodied, fruity, failly dry with clean mouthfeel. Some herbal spices in a finish with medium bitterness. Definitely a step up from industrial lager

Bottled. Dark golden/copper coloured. Minor white bubbly head. Fruitish malty aroma with caramelly notes. Mild malty flavour with oakish hints. Hoppyish finish. Wellbalanced, but watery.

Draught @HBF2005
Golden color, small white head. Light malty nose. Medium-bodied. Malty, slightly hoppy finish. Some yeastyness. Clean and balanced lager but uninteresting and a big step down from lighter Marsalkka. (4/2/5/3/9 2.3)
Re-rated, bottled (BB 10/2005)
Dark gold color with small vanishing head. Sweetish malty nose. Medium-bodied, soft, fruity malty base. Some nice hops in the finish. Mostly clean and certainly better than the most of Finnish macros. (5/2/5/3/10 2.5)
