From Sep 2006

Poured from 12oz bottle(best by Jan 5, 2007) a very dark brown with a large head of foam that shrank slowly and ended up being a solid 1" layer for the entire session.

The smell is a mix of roasted and sweet malt.

The taste is big on the roasted malt with a good presence of sweet malt, chocolate, and some nice bitter hop notes near the finish to balance this Porter out really well. That makes out for some excellent drinkability in my book! ;^)

Bottom line: I *love* this Porter. I highly recommend it!!

Man, I really do love this offering by Boulevard

Tap at Locus Publicus, Rotterdam. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is dry roasty malt, liqouice dry coffee. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet with a smooth rich dry smoky charcoal roasty hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
