(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 26 Nov 2011) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, caramel and raisins. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, dark bread, raisins, burnt sugar and a slightly roasty bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

Cask. Clear dark orangey brown with a beige, lacing head. Roasted, nutty aroma. Medium body, low in carbonation, nuts and burned caramel, wood and dried fruit - but also an odd chemical tang that really detracts. Rather hoppy finish. 160110
