Bottle at home. Awesome rare find but old, I know. Let's see what it might or might not hold still...

Dark brown to black color, no head left now after so many years. Aroma is malts, chocolate. Flavor is malts, soft roast, toffee, liquor, vanilla and malty soft roast bitter in the finish. Pretty good still.

Bottle, 650 ml. Courtesy of Eric. shared with him and MiroB. Dark brown with no head. Chocolate, wood, some marsala, bourbon notes, almost flat. Quite thinned, as expected after 15 years. Not bad considering the age.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing this bottle! Deep intense roasted nose. The beer starts deep and rich. Lots of woody oak there, smooth and mild. Round and deep in the aftertaste, soft black velvet-like with a great woody finish. Fascinating deep, intense and great balance between the wood and the dark dry malts. Fantastic with dried woody fruits in the end.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, interesting woody chocolate notes, mild bitterness. Warming malty finish, roasty with chocolate. Nice one!

Bottle at RBGT. Pours dark brown with a little head. Aroma is a little less bourbon than the 12, but still boozy and strong. Heavy body, but easier than the 12 through more carbonation. Still a long palate, very nice.

Bottle courtesy of Hackobock. Pours very dark chestnut brown with a small frothy beige head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny nutty with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, dark fruits in brandy, toasted nuts, bourbon alcohol and brandy alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny velvety, tiny astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, dark fruits in liqueur and some additional barrel character on top of that. Good but time has taken its toll and the oxidation is prominent. --- Beer merged from original tick of Firestone 13 Anniversary Ale on 28 Mar 2016 at 00:52 - Score: 7. Original review text: More roasty than many other FW Anni blends. Solid with plenty of roast and dark fruits in brandy. Solid but time has taken its toll.
