Keg at GBBF 2018. It pours clear yellow with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is sweaty, oily, savoury, hay, grass, lemon peel, cracker and must. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, tart, savoury, salty, earthy, lactic, seawater, minerals, cabbage and earth with a sweaty, herbal finish. Medium body and fine carbonation, prickly carbonation. Savoury. OK.

A hazed golden gose with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice crisp biscuit malt with loads of Brett, light lactic notes, lemon, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet biscuit malt with grassy resinous hops, good Brett character, nice and complex. On tap at Must!

Slightly aged sample Gushing to towering off-white head; clear darker golden beer. Finely perfumed, but demure nose (the big head no doubt sealing). Bitter-ish, dry flavour, some (other) grain in the finish. Some spiciness, but I’m not getting the salt. I do get the bittering hops, however. Quite slick, medium bodied. Nice beer, quite OK, but it isn’t anything like, f.i., the Ritterguts. Grazie, D. & M.!

RBESG 2010, draught at Blind Pig, Rome
Cloudy blond color. The saltyness is quite evident in the flavor, and can’t be disturbing, but the underlying beer is too simple, with too light aroma and simple flavor, it’s also a bit yesty. Not enough to convince me.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma is very yeasty combined with notes of pomerans. The flavor is very fruity combined with notes of malt and salt. The salt stays on the lips. More crazy than good.
