Strong ale, made from Maris Otter barley from Warminster Maltings. The excellent dwarf hop, First Gold, is used in the bittering and the floral, citrus, Slovenian hop Celeia is used for the aroma.

Cask (handpump) @ The Bell Inn, 103 Walcot Street, BA1 5BW Bath, Somerset, England.

[ As Three Daggers Daggers Edge ].
ABV: 4.7%. Clear medium yellow amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, hay, straw, caramel, fruity hops, old hops, apple. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, apple, sweet malt, hay, straw, caramel, floral notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190723]

Tried at the Lincoln Beer Festival 2018. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma is fruity and light malt. Taste is light sweet to light citrus. medium body.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange, small white head. Aroma is mild fruity, soight herbal. Bitter, slight toasted. Mild fruity. Bitter and mellow fruity. Mellow. Dry and slight herbal finish. Toasted and sweet finish.

Gravicask at Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival. Clear amber body, dissipating off-white head, fragile lacing. Malt-fruity aroma, caramel and apricot. Bread, noble hops and dried fruity flavours followed by a bittersweet tail. Quite alright. (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017).

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Getting nil aroma over woodsmoke. Light chestnut. Thin but healthy white head. Light sweet, with light bitterness underneath. Malt and sugar. However as I consume more it develops more character, a citrus tang. Light bodied. Watery. Limited carbonation. Abrupt finish. Quite like the fact that the pump clip describes it as ’strong’ at a whopping 4.7%. But then it is a good old-school ESB.

Cask (Bath Brew House, Bath) - Gold/light amber in colour. Peach, apricot and floral notes in the aroma. Biscuity and slightly fruity taste with caramel, apricot and sultanas.

Cask gravity at Bexley BF 2014. Clear amber lasting white head. Yeasty cereal aroma. Under attenuated. Some sweetness. Some orange fruit. Lacks fullness. Too cereal malty. Not many hops

Pigs Ear, The Round Church, Hackney. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Whisper of sulphur, nothing serious. Okay pale malt with juicy citrus. Little orange and orange marmalade. Whisper of lemon. Light dry finish. Not bad.
